Bubble magus triple doser

solos2: what is the maximum you can dose from one pump per 24 hours? Is it about 48 liters? The website is not clear. Thanks

I've had my BM 3 part doser for nearly 2 months now and like it a lot. The max daily dosing is 1999ml.

I used Spectrapure's LiterMeter III on my previous tank but the cost was crazy and you had to buy the pumps seperate. I purchased the BM triple doser for my new tank and have been running it for two months. Yep, the instructions were insane, but it's not hard to use at all and I would never consider another doser - it works perfect. I like the ability to dose my two part plus Mg. No issues so far...

Mine has been up for 3 or 4 months now. I love this thing. It is very easy to set up and keeps my parameters rock solid 24/7.

I received my Bubble Magus BM-T01, shelf, and tube holder yesterday! Total set up time was less than 5 minutes! VERY Easy to set up!

As a test, I set each pump to dose 20mL of RO/DI water per day in 12 cycles. At the end of the cycle, all pumps had dosed exactly 20mL! This was also with 3ft of head pressure!

This thing seems SWEET! I would highly recommend and think it is well worth the money! I will let everyone know how it is working a few months from now!

I would say the only con -not for me bu mybe for some - would be that the dosing has to be split between 24hrs and can not be dosed soley between 10:00am & 10:00pm so to say!

does anyone know for SURE if you canreplace a pump if it fails. I have looked at doser and condidered the BM and the Profilux....The profilux is a bit more expensive , but the pumps can be individually replaced.

Also those that dose 2 part.....don't you want both part to dose together. With BM you can only run one pump at a time. So how do you run this for 2 part.

Anyone know if the profilux can have more than one pump run at same time?

On two part you do not want to dose both at the same time.

How loud are the pumps? What can you compare the noise level to?

The pumps are not that loud. I have mine in my stand and can barely hear it with my doors closed. It sounds like those automatic soap dispensers or maybe even the paper towel dispensers in the public restrooms.

proliflux pump replacement option was one of the main reason I went with them. I debated between the two brands for month and then 3 months ago when proliflux dropped their price it was an easy decision. When the price dropped, it was only $70 more than the BM. I believe this lower price is still being offered today..just look around. IMO the proliflux is a sure bet as it has been in circulation for around 5yrs without issues, whereas BM only about a year and not much is known about the product yet.

FWIW, dosing pumps are something that will be in operation for the life of your reef. Get something high quality and invest a in piece of equipment that will last a long time, it will save you replacement money in the long run. Often I see people puchasing 3 of those Drew's dosing pumps and then hooking it up to 3 individual timers to try and achieve the same job. It might come close but in the end are you really saving money? 3 Drew's pumps and 3 timers will cost you almost $350. I got my proliflux 3 pumps for $399. Proliflux or BM is probably a better way to go, it's a hugh space saver too.

If you buy 3 Drews Dosers from BRS on a group buy, you get them for $80 a piece, multiplied times 3 = $240. I highly doubt that you're going to spend $110 on 3 individual timers.

Yep the complete pump is $25 as listed on website. Someone priced a motor with a retailer I read and it cost $40.

Mines pumps ALK at the top of the hour. 5 minutes after the hour it dumps Calcium. 10 minutes after the hour it dumps Magnesium. Perfect little cycle.

Ok guys its been quite sometime since anyone has posted in this thread, five months. So what is everyones opinion of their BM Doser now? Considerng selling my GEO 618 CaRx set up in favor of two part dosing on my new setup. The reactor has always been a PITA for me, house maintains a low ph in my tank as it is without co2 injection.

Has anyone had any major issues with their units, pump failures, replacement issues, etc?

Thanks

Mine has been chugging along for about 3 months now! Awesome & keeps params perfect.

You basically pick how many ml's you want to dose a day, how many times a day(1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 etc....) and then when to start. it does the rest.

I am dosing 2 part. CAL on one pump & ALK on the other. 3rd is sitting idle for now. Pumps are generally quite and I can't hear them over anything else.

I use this pump to dose vodka and vinegar, set up was easy 05 minute job.But I am doubting due to the distance it covers alomost 03 ft tubing I feel dosing is not done properly.Any idea how much distance can it cover to dose in one rotation.
