Bubble tip anemone torn

So I was re-rocking and my anemones foot was on two different rocks. When one rock was removed, the anemone tore. :(

The break is right before the mouth.

That said, the larger piece of it with the mouth intact is still moving around and appears ok. Doesn't look the greatest though. The smaller piece is still attached to a rock but I'm not sure the status of it. They don't smell when it put them to my nose.

Will they now die? Will the one with the mouth live on? I have removed it from the tank in fear that it begin releasing toxins.

Can they be saved?

BTA's commonly survive a great deal of abuse, so hard to say for sure w/out seeing where it split, but a very good chance at the larger w/ mouth may survive, smaller one is hard to say, but maybe.

When a BTA naturally splits, where does it split? Does the parent keep the mouth? Does the child develop a new mouth? Or does it split at the mouth?

It splits through the mouth, in a plane perpendicular to the axis of symmetry.

Update: both parts of the BTA are doing well. One is 25% the other is 75%. These guys are tough!
