Please don't tell me this a picture of a Magnifica. Petco said it was a BTA.

Don't think it's a bta. Might be a Magnifica but hard to tell. Picture of the mouth and how the foot attaches to the rock? BTAs like to sit their foot into a crevice but mags spread over the rock.

petco sales person in fish area from my experience are not knowledgable, You have to do your own home work in there before buying. Im pretty sure its not a bta as well!!!

There are purple-base BTA's that can look a lot like a mag.
Not sure you could rule out either option from that pic.

I will try to get a picture of the mouth. As for its foot, the first thing it did was move until it found a crevice and wedged almost all of its trunk inside. If it is a magnifica, I know I'm in for a challenge. I've been planning to upgrade my lighting to include metal halide. Now I will definitely do it. It will probably outgrow my 30 gallon tank (the main reason for concern), and I guess I will have to deal with that when the time comes. My water parameters are: Salinity 1.025, Nitrates 2 ppm, Nitrites 0, Phosphate 0, Ammonia 0, pH 8.0, Temp 78 - 80. Do you think I can pull it off?
