Bubbletip split

This morning I freaked out when i saw like a third of my anemone, i thought one of my fishes took a chunk of it, I moved the canopy and looked inside the overflow and found the rest of it. Now my question is both parts need to have a mouth, or it will grow eventually.... please comment

It should grow on it's own as far as I have heard. Just find it a nice spot on the rocks where it won't get blown around alot. I haven't personally had one split yet in my tank. So I am not an expert. But I wouldn't expect the offspring would have a mouth immediately. But I am sure someone else would know better.

They generally split through the mouth, so the mouth ends up on one edge of the clone and slowly closes up and moves back toward the middle of the clone. They can generally accept food within about two weeks of the split.

I'vce also had accidental mechanical splits, where a chunk of anemone slowly reforms an oral disk, tentacles and a mouth. That type generally takes much longer to form a mouth and be able to eat, and generally ends up being a much smaller clone (since it takes quite a bit of resources to re-form the oral disk and mouth when the anemone can't "eat").

Well I went for the rescue of my anemone inside the overflow, "STUPID MYSELF", I ended up killing it, I should left it in there and let the anemone move on theyre own. I have a smal piece left, but I think is dead or is going to die soon.... the other part is moving around in the tank; I think since I adjusted the Koralline Pump, the anemone dont like that place anymore.
