Update time...

I had a friend fabricate a top for my sump to clean things up a bit further and to lessen some of the salt spray that comes from the drain chamber and the filter socks.

Being that it was extremely difficult to empty and pull out the sump, i chose to install the lid in place. After a little research and some quick test pieces I decided on weld-on 16. I removed as much as I could from the sump, emptied and vacuumed the main chambers and then dry fitted to make sure it sat where I wanted. Then applied a small bead of the glue all around the edge and installed the lid with some weight on top.

I now have a lid above my sock chamber and small bulkhead fittings for dosing/ATO/Auto water change

You know now that you mention that, I think its been about 2 years since I bought this tank. I guess its been alot of ups and downs but it is finally steadily heading in the right direction! This hobby is so enjoyable when you can see the fruits of your labor with healthy growing corals. I cant wait until I have a display that mirrors some of the great builds on these forums.

Yeah..a lot of people will disagree, but I think two years is kind of the magic number where a tank all of the sudden looks vastly different one day and you realize how much has changed since you started it.

I'm sure your display will be amazing with such a perfect set-up like this one.

Thx Rovster!

I like the DOS, i use one for water change and another for 2 part. Easy to setup or tweak in the neptune fusion dash and the 2 part DOS is silent and spreads your dosed amount into small increments throughout the day. Only thing some may not like is that unless you edit the program some it doses alk/cal at same time, although i use it this way and its no problem at all (according to neptune the amounts are so small it doesnt cause any precipitation)

Henry, in Post #189, those black electric cables looks a bit all over the place, can you tidied up those cables please, or replace them with red or white cables. Com'on man!:lolspin:
Great job my friend, One of my favorite tanks in this forum.
