Build thread of the Monterey Marinland 265 84x24x30

Very nice led setup, cant believe you got the tank for that much at Allfish! I got a good deal on my tank from there as well, I got it for 1250 and they recently had it for 1800 last time I checked.

I love the two separate islands, will be following from now on.

Very nice setup! Gonna look nice once everything grows in!
Thanks, its coming along

man Im waiting to see photos in about 1year from now expecting big results
Its getting crazy, I just had two of my huge green mushrooms go reef surfing because they spreading on top of one another and needed to find another home(rock).

Thanks, debating on cleaning the coraline off the open back glass in future or keeping it clean looking. Wife want nature to take its course

New Additions

New Additions

Added one of the fishes I have wanted for a long time now. Finally got an awesome price.

I went to Marine Net Inc. Met the owner named Bernard(Nice guy). He has a warehouse that is only open to the public only the weekends. Its located on Hiatus and 44st. Probably over 400 fishes, plus many of LPS, live rock, and softies. He has maybe 25 mystery wrasses and 100 flame angels.

He had the biggest most beautiful solar wrasse there I have ever seen(must have been nearly 5 inches). Probably the nicest fish possible. Unfortunately, it was bought before I could get it. He also has a pair of wicked nice flame wrasses(sold by the pair). $200 for both male and female. Live aquaria wants $250-350 for one

Acclimating new additions:
Mystery wrasse and couple blastos

I also found branching tonga rock (i bought last two pieces)

This one is for you! Can you believe I went over a year without an automatic ATO? I did dial in my outdoor timer rather well though beforehand.

Last SPS looks like a green milli. I want to get one as well but I'm running out of space. lol

There is always more space! Amazing how we find room for more. I thought mine was full about 20 sps frags ago.

Why am I going to the frag swap sat. why! :debi:

Very nice Biggar! It is looking very tempting to upgrade from my 90 when I see your tank. I was thinking of 6' 220g but why not go 7'...just more room to play. I could use still use 6' fixtures and place low light corals on sides.

Can't wait to see this tank in a year or 2.

Great build! Tank is looking amazing and is filling up quickly.

Thanks!, It sure is.

Yea, 7 feet filled up way too quick. I was actually looking at the 10 foot 300 gallon before this one. 120 x 24 x 24

Glad I got the viewing area I have. Just need longer arms ( :

Yea, 2 years from now I hope to have some large pieces.

The color your T-5's have created on your tank is amazing.

^^^thanks, I think its a combination of the LED's and T5's that give the corals nice colors.

Keep us updated how the progress goes with the tank!!

Beautiful setup! Can't wait to see a FTS when all the frags have grown.

Thanks. Yea, this will be interesting.

We have already discovered the ora red planet I got from Mark(under halides) that was more of a reddish purple with green, has turned into a deep pink color under LEDs. Its like a strawberry shortcake now. Not sure how the LEDs will affect all the corals, but I will keep ya posted.
