hey Bro...thanks a lot for the compliment :)
And yea....i only heard good things about the Vortech MP40, so i went for it...this is the first time i am ever owning one so will need some figuring out to do and set it up.
I will post the coral reaction to it :D...do stay tuned!

That is one amazing tank, congrats Nup

Thanks a lot for your encouragement Juan...i appreciate that a lot :)
Hmmm the tank is not yet where i want it to be.....i hope it will gradually get there and hope the corals will thrive under my care...

Its a long road ahead,
miles to go before i sleep,
miles to go before i sleep

Wow Noob, youve filled that tank up almost! It looks incredibly good, nice wqork! As to the vortech having all those settings...blah, after a few months you wont even use them. Youll set it on one mode and maybe switch to another here and there but night mode, dimming, storms and all that mess will just be somthing you had to pay extra for that you never use. Doesnt mean paying extra wasnt worth it though! Mine seams to be getting louder as it ages too. THought that was worth mentioning.

Hi Chris,
Thanks a bunch for the compliment!! I hope I can do justice and make my slice of the ocean something I can be proud of. It's not gonna be easy and still it's in infancy.

Agree with ya on the settings on the Vortech. But its just cool the Ecotech guys have put so much engineering into this equipment. These settings might look overdrive and useless for a small setup like mine, but in a larger setup these varied settings definitely gives the Vortech a big thumbs up and make it stand out from the rest.
And the upgradability factor of the software does makes the future exciting. :D
Uh..Oh getting louder with time :worried: that's something I don't wanna happen in mine. But the catalogue does say after few days of break in the pump should go silent. There are some trouble shooting tips on the full manual which you have to download from the Ecotech website.
Hope it helps :)

nice tank looking good. all these amazing new tank threads make me want to upgrade from my 92 to like a 650 lol

Hello spazdic thanks for visitin and for the compliment.
You are not the only one lol even me seeing all those amazing setups on RC makes me wanna go bigger tooo :D
But I'm starting small and let's see if I can get some success, then maybe go bigger :)

yeah, well im having the opposite effect. Its not as loud as my mo10 was but its not silent thats for sure! Yeah ive DLed the maual but theres no help there. Its just the noise of a vortech I guess. Strange that its louder than when I got it...I may have just lucked into perfect alignment when I first put it in. Ive moved it a few times since but just cant get it back just right. It vibrates a little too when its at a low speed so it is probably an alignment issue. I dont care, it could be a 2 stroke and id still run it!

Agree...awesome looking tank and great start...I'm starting a similar size tank...subscribed

Hello chrishet... Thanks for visiting my humble thread and your el complimentos :D

Yes seems alignment can be the problem.
Your MP40 is definitely preferring to be "straight" :D lol
So stop twisting him into something he is not :hammer:
