Yep Kevin :spin2: planning to incorporate an iPhone into the setup.
Its gonna be connected to the wifi network enabling some real time monitoring of parameters, also make it easy to control the P3 over the network.
Alerts and notifications regarding tank parameters, maintenance, dosing etc
Playing some music, maybe some reef related videos too :spin2:
And yea answer calls too
Planning to install a frame on the cabinet such that the phone can be slid in and removed if needed. Also install a charger on a timer which can plug into the iPhone and charge it while it's "docking" on the cabinet door
I know pretty crazy, but I wanted to give my cabinet a futuristic "touch screeny" feel lol.

YES one day our tanks will be talking to us.
There is no Siri in the phone im installing, it's my first 2G iPhone, I'm holding in to it....a tech marvel and game changer.

Well you never know Siri is already being trained to switching lights on and off by some smart guys so we can never predict what Siri is capable of.
I know a bit extreme thinking...but I'm a dreamer lol
One day yea one day day Siri will maintain my tank atleast my water chemistry.
Hope ya saw my rendering of the controller/dosing setup?

Insane in a goodway or badway?
It's just an idea to get the iPhone on there. Another option was installing an older model touch screen laptop which i have, it's 13" inch moniter so size is the concern.

Either the iPhone or the laptop will be hooked up
Hope it works out.

Thanks bro. Wish I had the DIY skills then I wouldv started work on the cabinet ASAP. Since I don't have the skill...have to wait for my carpenter to finish the design iv in mind. :hammer:

What's next....Hmm well I'm not idle. Researching/planning :reading: for the right equipment and setup for a new tank 150x50x50 in cm. Which will sit next to my current tank

Equipment Update...

I had mentioned about a light upgrade few weeks ago...here it is...
Its LED with custom colours and with UV mixed in...
Purpose: Additional PAR and colour POP

One is 60cm long and the other 110cm long.
The 60cm one will be installed on the current tank and the 110cm for my next project..coming soon :thumbsup:

Thanks for the bump
About the lights the single 60cm unit will go into the current tank. The 120 unit will go into the new build which is gonna sit beside the current one.
These light units are pretty intense, has 3W Cree and UV Bridgelux LED. Will post some pics once installed. Need to see how my corals do under them. It's experimental so will post details in due time.
I did go shopping yesterday got myself a nice montipora piece a pretty decent size and more fire shrimps :furious: Will post pics.
