Scolly, favia, chalice, clam?

Anyway congrats on getting some animals into this beautiful tank of yours. Stocking up is always the best part.:)

This should be a good test for your Potters, see which lps he tears up first.
(hopefully none)

Thanks Reef Smac, yea stocking and coral hunting is very exciting !!
Potter's has not yet done anything to the corals....he doesn't seem interested....keeping fingers crossed he won't do any harm.

Your ID is "Warmer" :D

Mushroom, Brown palys, GSP, and a rock?:lol2:

Hiya Reef Smac....you went from warmer to sub zero cold :lol2:

Well hope ya like my pic posts....now ya know what they are :spin2:

Will be coral hunting this week again....il add on to the collection if i find something that catches my eye....:fun5:

Very nice! What I love about your tank is that I can totally see your vision and what the tank will look like in 2 years! I mean im practically placing corals in your tank for you right now!

Youre right, those are VERY healty looking corals, wish you the best of luck with them. Now dont go gettin all crazy and filling this new tank up all at once or feedin the crap outta all those hungry mouths you have now! PATIENCE, u stay focus Daniel Son

Hi Chris, your words are real encouragement for me...thanks bro!!
I am most happy to get everyone who visits my thread involved with me and helping me in creating my tiny slice of the ocean and making it something memorable!

Yeaaaaaah PATIENCE is key, i know thanks again for reminding me :p
As of now i am target feeding them corals and trying as much as possible not to pollute my system, so far so good. Feeding fishes , again is small feeds x 2 times a day. Keeping a check on ammonia, still reads nil.

Acanthophyllia do derive some energy from the lighting, so i am just planning on target feeding thrice a week in limited quantity. The Dendrophyllia is more challenging to feed....toooo many mouths....but i like the interaction...so im feeding them frozen mysis at the moment and they are accepting it. My aim is to feed them when the lights are ON and get em trained to keep polyps open, so it becomes bit more easier to feed. My friend has had success in this so i am trying this method. Lets see if its gonna work out.

Thanks again Chris...for keepin up with my updates...appreciate it!

Also meant to ask how the potters is doing with all that new food, I mean, coral in there?

Heyyyy dont tell him that its food, thats some expen$ive f$$d :crazy1:

He is still not gone near them as of yet...he sticks to picking on his favourite live rock...kinda territorial to it he does a weird flaring display if the cheeky black bar chromis or the 2 spot hog come near that rock.

Here's a pic...Potter and his Crib :love1:

Hey, no prob. I mean why post your build on the web if no one interacts with you? I feel that way a lot with mine. I know a lot of the initial build steps arent that interesting but I know how important they are to the aquarist, old and new! It helps to keep you interested and excited about the hobby. It is a solitary hobby but the internet has changed that, for the better imo.

Keep updating as often as you want, no matter how small the update rest assured I will read it even if I dont post!

Are you rinsing your frozen foods well with a strainer or coffee filter? P04 can build up rapidly from just thawing and feeding cubes often. Same with flake foods, they are FULL of both phosphate and iodine. Especially algae based foods. Keep this in mind if you are thinking about dosing lugols or similar.

Look forward to your next update!

Thanks a lot Chris for your kind words....

About the frozen food...im just feeding limited quantity...quarter of a cube soaked in Seachem Garlic, and target feeding the LPS.
Hadnt been rinsing it prior to that...i will do that from now. :hammer:
I am dosing Bacterya (Equo Italy) and Bioptim (Prodibio).

you scared me gonna check Po4 now :uhoh2: :D

I never dosed Iodine or Lugols ever...i think water changes takes care of that...iv noticed adding iodine into the system always created tiny algal blooms...

I'm actually glad I was wrong with all four. :D

Nice scores for the first shopping spree BTW.

You're on the sps forum, so you should get at least get one stick next time.:)

Hey REEF SMAC, thanks...yup was lucky to bag some healthy corals.

Well, i have eyed a nice piece, not a "stick" but something "flat" :lol2: , but it will be SPS...will be added by tomorrow and il post a pic...

I think the "sticks" need to wait a bit longer, coz i need to make sure the tank remains stable for a bit more time before i add the "sticks" :)
