I did go back and mix the salt some more. I came to the conclusion that the system was too young and without some impurities lead to precipitation issues. Have plenty of IO laying around and will work it in during maintenance once the new doser for balling method arrives.
Came home with the expectation and excitement of my new doser and three part solutions. Doser didn’t arrive as expected and the Aquaforest Components 1,2,3 are all frozen/slurry at the moment…
Move the components to the basement to find my return pump was not working for however long today… and my skimmer also jammed.
Decided a vinegar bath would be the best way to fix this. Soaked each for 30min and return fired up without issue. Skimmer though didn’t want to work with the end tightened all the way. Don’t know if I need to order a replacement part or the whole pump. Seems to be the internal rotor is not strong enough to overcome the rubber piece it slips into.

Not the words I want to hear but I guess it happens. Im wondering if it’s just a simple flexible tube that fits around the impeller.

Turns out the replacement pump is only $35. Probably cheapest thing in the hobby.
Had a lot going on here the past few days and I was unable to log into RC..
NooPsyche k7 v3 LEDs arrived. They no longer have a controller it’s all wifi. Took a little bit to get assembled and in the end needs to dremel the underside of the overflow lid to make it work.
Also got the doser hooked up.
One concern I have is that 1.5L may only last for two months or less depending on stocking. Need to brush up on making 3-part.

Need to figure out settings to take photos under new lights. Debating iPhone upgrade from 8 Plus to 14 Pro. Picture quality would definitely improve but I lose my beloved fingerprint sensor.

Have been patiently waiting for camera filters to come so I can start taking better pics… Delays in shipping and a strange notification that I may be entitled to a full refund makes me think these lenses will be at least another week.

You bought one of the phone clip-on lens kits?
Yes I did. Also upgraded my cell phone as it was nearing end of life. Wish the lense was a little larger as the phone tries to go between three lenses and the Orphek only covers two.
