Keep slightly messing with these Noop settings. Getting close to being done with settings. Just working on trying to get better coloration out of corals. Current settings are closing in on Coral Lab AB+. However I just can’t get that hue radions can.

As I recall AB+ is just 100% on all blue channels and UV, and 24% on green, red and whites. In your case it would be 60% and 14%.

Yeah I thought that too. However… what I found was the colors weren’t as vibrant. Different leds and color peaks probably account for this difference. I looked through the G6 pro and blue. Noop actually somewhere between the two so you can get close to either.

Also it’s worth noting that the G6 3w LEDs probably have a max draw of 2w on radion based on specs. To come up with the pro setting it came out to be royal blue 60%, blue 50%, UV 68%, red/green 19% and cool white 10%.

Additionally, there is a noticeable increase in light output on all channels between 19% and 20%. This makes it difficult as the red/green/white are much less intense. So… I’m ramping up with UV but otherwise I picked a color that is pleasing to me on all time frames. Even though the color is more blue in mornings and evenings.

To summarize or tl;dr, there isn’t a correct spectrum for coral AB+ as it’s shifted greatly since G3 and is inconsistent with pro/blue. But using it as a starting point I’m hoping to find a good eye appearance/coloration on Noops.

Oddly this color looks pretty nice when viewed in person. On photos the blues still get blown out. Might try video setting.

Went ahead and added some berghia to control any aiptasia. Just got lazy to go in with kalk paste in what seems like a daily basis. Noticed a spiral egg nest yesterday. So possibly many up for grabs in about 4-6 weeks!

Ended up getting my diffuser for the k7 from china yesterday. Had to modify light settings to adjust for the loss in par. Good news though! Finally can take pictures without feeling the blues are blown out.
