Bulb combo in your nanocube?

I have a 3 x 24w (72w total) nanocube

Currently I have (front to back)
- 10000K/Blue (50/50)
- Actinic
- 10000K/Blue (50/50)

I have been thinking about experimenting with other bulb combos but I dont want a yellow tint.

I want the tank to be a bit brighter. I am not too concered with the dusk/dawn effect.

I was thinking of:

- 10000K/Blue (50/50)
- 10000K/Actinic
- 10000K/Blue (50/50)

OR

- 10000K/Actinic
- 10000K/Actinic
- 10000K

OR

- 10000K/Blue (50/50)
- 10000K/Actinic
- 10000K

Also considering going all 3 bulbs 10000K/Actinic

Basically I am trying to get at least (3) 10000Ks (if you know what I mean by that) in my lighting combo WITHOUT yellowing out the tank.

Anyone have suggestions of what they have tried or have pics of their lighting combos?

Thanks!

i have the 6700/10000 and the dual actinic dual that current makes. to be honest, i dont like the color of them at all.

i plan to do a 10000K and a pure single actinic. i think the color will look much better. plus i am really lovin the look of 10000K lately.

If it were me i would do the following because i like the blueish look of a tank, yet also want enough 10k because without it there wont be enough growth.

Front
10000K/Blue (50/50)
10000 K
Actinic

I would put the 10 k in the middle to try to get the "Growth Light" to cover the corals centrally. The 50/50 in the front will give you a nice crisp blue look & the actinic in the back will help mellow down the light & give it more of a blue hue. If you dont like the combo & would switch the front & back. Good luck & dont forget to have enought 10k for growth. the old rule of thumb was actinic & 10k should be split half and half for the tank.

on my 29 I had
actinic
10,0000
7,000 (purple color?)
10,000
actinic
and liked it but then one of my ballasts burned out and now I have

10,000
actinic

and it looks good and more natural but less blue and glowy.

So my vote is even 10K and actinic or slightly more actinic than 10K, in your case,

50/50
actinic
50/50

Thanks for the responses

I have the :
50/50
Actinic
50/50

combo on there now. Just worried that I dont have enough 10K

Considering splitting it all with 10K/actinic bulbs (3 of them) to make it half and half between 10K and actinic
