As you know elements just doesn't have the functions and features. Which is why it's less expensive, I realize that, and Gimp is free, and on and on and on...
The more a piece of software is deemed useful, the more it will be pirated if not generally and easily available. Photoshop has to be one of the most pirated pieces of software out there... I simply wonder, if it was available at an inexpensive price-point would they sell significantly more copies?? I believe the answer is yes... (but I'll admit my market research is lacking.. hahaha)
Could it be cheaper for adobe even? If they didn't have to maintain elements just to address a price-point adverse market segment?
And BTW, personal ethics are a reflection of ones values in terms of what is right and what is wrong created by the social norms the individual is/was surrounded by... therefore they are by definition, someone else's fault, or at very least heavily influenced by someone else.
PS: I'm 36hrs into quitting smoking, again, so if this was harsh... flame me... cause my jittery, non-smoking butt is twitchy.... and looking for a release...
