how is the Arabian doing?
I'd say it's right back to where it was before the Prazi treatment.
The redness is still present, I'm debating what to do next.
As I see it, my options are:
1. Do nothing and see if it improves.
2. Start second round of Prazi and expect another hunger strike.
3. Start antibiotic treatment.
Any thoughts? For redness I'd typically treat with antibiotics, but I want to make sure I'm addressing the problem and not the symptoms.
Im not excited about putting it through another round of Prazi either, but then again that's typical quarantine protocol for me
Not really sure how to proceed.
You'd skip the second round of Prazi?
When I did the fw dip I was positive I saw a couple little flukes, but I never really found them After I transferred him back.
I'm leaning towards your strategy.

where did you see flukes?
I am big on doing nothing, if possible...
Another fw shouldn't hurt any...
will go back and look at video...can you get a close-up?
FYI, when I used antibiotics, it didn't affect their appetite.
But since, I can't see the fish up close, I wouldn't know if redness is due to flukes or bacteria.
Another thought... Have you tested the ph and ammonia?
High ammonia can cause redness.
Good to know, which antibiotic and what kind of fish? How long was the treatment period?
Not tested them and while it could be a concern, I'm doubtful that's the issue. The tank has gotten a lot of water changes, has a very established bio filter and a protein skimmer.
Also, the heniochus and semilarvatus don't seem to be having any issues.
Have you ever thought of sneaking pellets inside the clam or even mixing it with the current food?
Actually did that early on, made a pellet and flake only clam. It nipped at it, but at the time, I'm not sure how much food was being ingested.
Might try that again this week.
I think I'm going to add some of the Kent Zoe product to the next batch of clam shells I make too.
Very beautiful and impressive collection! I'm impressed by the variety of butterfly and angels you have, I love those two groups.
I may have missed it, but did the larvatus make it?
Good luck with the Arabian, wha t a beautiful fish.
Thanks for sharing, will be checking for updates.
Cheers!
