Ca Reactor effluent test?

Owned a ca reactor for years with inconsistent results due to my skills.... Super curious as to how one tests effluent as test kits don't go anywhere near 35 - 50 dkh.... I own Hanna and have salifert test kit.... Confused as if I half the test sample and add say 50% RO or Distilled those are not exactly dkh neutral ? Hence, cannot multiple result by 2, correct ? Lab Guru's HELP!

With salifert: Once syringe is empty, just refill stringe and add results of both syringes.
