I use photobucket and copy the image url into the post. How do you like those nanostreams?

I'm also curious about the nano streams.

Thanks :)

nice, thx, photobucket rules. nanos are great. more picts to come.

the nano streams work great. just the right amount of flow.for this size tank.

going barebottom eh?

how did you attach that flo thing to the outlet? none of the adaptors fit...

also, how do you like those two powerheads? too much flow?

also is that a skimmer on the back? sorry for all the questions... mine is here, just waiting on the stand to set it up... leak test passed :)

yes, bb. sand is just so, dirty.

my flo thing is the hydorFlo brand, not the one that cadlights sells. i used the biggest adapter i think...drop of crazy glue doesnt hurt to keep it tight. i also changed the stock rio+1100 (350 gph) return pump for a maxijet 1200 (300 gph)...why? 350gph is too much. the overflow cant handle it...microbubbles and noise. plus the skimmer is compromised as well, better to skim the same water over and over then dump it back into the tank. did i mention the rio pos is loud?

the tank runs much smoother now, no water noise, no bubbles, no loud pump, skimmer skims...in the end its a very quiet tank now because of this one $19.99 mod.

6025 tunze powerheads are on a 15 minute oscillating cycle, so only one is on at a time, not too much flow. when i set the tank up, it only took on 16.25 gallons of water to fill it, display and sump, with no rock. i used six and a half 2.5 gallon distilled water jugs from safeway. so that leaves me with 900 gph of flow in a 16.25 gallon tank...55X flow.

anyway, i would get a couple, or at least one of the tunzes....i also use a neptune controller jr to handle all the pumps as well as lights, heater, sunset/sunrise, moon phase...follows seasonal temps and daylight hours in the tropics and will control lights and heater/chiller to follow the seasonal variations, neato!!

the skimmer is an aquaC remora with maxijet 1200 pump. it works great. another option is the tunze skimmer or maybe even the sapphire aquatics.

im still messing with mine too, set it up last week. i had the rock curing in another tank for two months. so from here on out its plug and play for me.

cool, thanks for the info.

i actually bought the hyorflo also, and i couldnt find the right adapter. My tank is the wet-dry model, but im using it as a fuge.

how are you liking that skimmer so far? how does it look on the tank, i would really hate to ruin the clean look of the tank. do you have a fts from a distance? did you buy the cadlights stand, or use somthing else? im thinking of putting a sump in my cadglights stand, but im still waiting on it, so its a work in process...

i like the skimmer. although i am in the waiting period right now for any skimmate to come. just microbubbles at the moment. apparently it takes up to 2-3weeks for the skimmer to break in...

the clean look you are after will remain intact. my neptune contoller sits right next to my monitor....

a sump is not a bad idea. i would do it, but i wanted a more simple setup, for now...in time ill upgrade to a full blown custom with all the trimmings...

how do those tunze pumps attach? magnets?

your tank looks great, i cant wait to see the progress... we should start a thread, just for 22g cadlights owners :)

beautiful tank. i love the actinic picture you took.

jason, i was thinking of putting a skimmer on my set-up also. does the aquaC work out good for you as far as for installing it on? also i have limited space behind my tank and might have to put it into my refugium , do you think it will fit in there? if not i can move it up a few inches. the only thing is, the tank is very heavy with the water in it.

sorry for so many questions.

your tank looks awesome! great set-up.

thanks for all the thumbs ups guys...

jewt, the remora is a hang on back only, look closely at the pictures, youll see that it hangs on the back very nicely with the maxijet1200 powerhead sucking water out of the sump thru the grey plastic pipe...it is a great fit.

the tunze nano skimmer should drop in the sump if you want to go that route...

i really like the aquaC remora, as you can see it takes little space behind the tank, its a very nice piece of equipment...the guys who built it put some time and effort into it...get the skimmer and see if itll fit the way your tank is now, you can always move it the couple inches, use a broom handle as a lever, so the tank doesnt do that sudden shift/move thingy and the water cant catch up, then waves over tank, etc...

...why?....

I mean... maybe if you just had some pc's or some t5's...
but why go changing the lighting when you have 144w of t5's...?

It looks great haha
why change?

Just my opinion...

but if you do.. go with the 250 aquamedic... :)

wow that thing is real bright. i agree with alien, why change whe you already have 144w of t5? dang a 250w halide is kind of alot of light, you might have to becareful of overheating.

Nice tank it's hard to find people with this tank. I'm ordering the 25G with HQi tomorrow. It was nice to see your pics.

i think those lights are pretty bright... which was a big deciding factor on why i bought this tank. then again, i bought it the day before the 25g was put on the website! doh!

jas0n, what exactly does your controller do? does it just measure temp and ph, or can it adjust too? does it come with everything necessary to put the pumps and lights on a timer? sorry im a total n00b with these controller things...

thanks
