I had a problem with my clam in my reef tank being nipped at by my coral beauty. I went ahead and put him in the refugium which has quite powerful PCs on it and is lit 24/7. I was kind of curious if this would be a problem.
Yes it is a problem....just like corals and plants, the algae needs to respire. Better switch the PCs to a normal photoperiod, and be sure to acclimate him to the new lower light level!
