can a clown kick a fungus w/o treatment?

I have a clown that has two small white cotton spots. They have "receded" some and the fish has been eating well and behaves normally. I have not been able to catch her to get her into the qt. Will she continue to improve and can she completely recover from the ailment, or do I need to continue to try to catch her?
Thanks

A picture would help. Fungal problems are pretty rare in SW fish and "cotton spots" may be anything from lympho to excess mucus a by-product of a parasite (brooklynella, amylo, ich etc).

Hope this helps.

I have a crappy camera, but I'll try to get a photo. it is a well contained "spot" of white fluff on the side of the fish. It has been there for about 2 weeks and was worse than it is now.
