Doesn't look like any pest anemone I've ever seen. They have long stalks. Very creepy.

Ugh. I was afraid of that, but they dont look like any aiptasia ive ever seen. Oh well, at least ive got some red sea to nuke em with.

Looks more like a Curly-Q anemone to me. Aiptasia don't have the 'beads' along the tetacles like the Curly-Q.

They are very common in the Florida Keys. They do not spread as bad as aiptasia, especially if they are happy. Stress them and the will spread. I've brought a couple home from snorkel trips to the Keys and they have done fine in my shallow reef. I wouldn't put one in my DT mixed reef though.

Whether it's a Curly-Q anemone or not, I wouldn't treat it any differently than you would Aiptasia. Get rid of it... Trust me, it won't be missed.

Thanks for all the input. I used aiptasia x on the top one last night. It did not react the same way as when I used it on the aiptasia Ive seen. It definitley didn't like it, but it didn't explode (implode, whatever).
