anyone have the real solid yellow variety?
I've seen the Red Sea shipments come in mixed. Sometimes they come in dark brown, sometimes yellow. I've seen some HUGE 5" bright yellow specimens. Unfortunately, over the last few years I've only seen the brown ones come in...
Oh, Ron, you might find this hard to believe (Even I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it with my own eyes), but in one of the Red Sea shipments in Summer of 07 a LFS around here got, there was actually a Omanensis clown mixed in. Unfortunately it died of a couple weeks later of brook. I was with Jake Adams, and he actually was the one who spotted it. At first glance I thought it was an Akindynos, then thought...'WAIT a second, this is R.S. not Australia..." Joe Russo took some pictures of the fish at my house. Hopefully he still has the pics somewhere. I'm still kicking myself for not freezing the specimen. It was a gorgeous fish, darkish colored similar to the Akindynos but more maroonish, huge swallow tail, black pelvic fins. There is actually a chance it may have been a hybrid Bicinctus/Oman, as there are reports of them hybridizing in the Red Sea region.
