Can I get an ID?

I picked this up at RAP Orlando this year for dirt cheap. It was brown and ugly, but I figured why not give it a chance, again it was damn near free. Since then it has really started to color up. The other day I noticed it was looking really nice. The tissue is displaying a pale purple with some shades of green. The polyps are just now starting to turn from brown to purple and some look green. But I have no idea what it is other than an acro. I'm hoping to get a more definitive identification or at least whatever trendy nickname it has been given. Maybe it's still too early to tell.

Wow, after looking over that website I think I would stick with "some kind of Acropora millepora"!

It is definitely a nice piece!

Wow, that site is awesome. This should be stickied to the top of TBRC. Thank you.

Thanks. Millepora would have bushy polyps, which I own.

I'm thinking Acropora Loripes. The tissue coloration and corallite formation is a perfect match. I checked other sources after an initial ID from John's link. Here's a pic and link from Arkive.

What do you think? Can we get a 100% agreement on this.
