Nice thread. Thank you. Eventually I'll be setting up a seahorse tank and these are inspiring. We used to raise dwarf seahorses when I was a child. We bought some from somewhere in Florida-we lived in Alaska. I'm not sure if we had a 10 or 20 gallon tank, but they used to breed like crazy. Seeing the dwarf in the tank reminded me of the fun we had with those little guys.
44g tall with 20g attached refugium. Refugium was only up a couple days when shot was taken, but you get the idea. You can see the Fluval 304 and the 18w UV on the bottom right corner of the picture too.
Proud Mom, are those dwarf seahorses? How many dwarfs and pipefish are in there? Have you been watching for hydroids? Is that one dwarf bright green in color?
This is my largest Seahorse tank. It is 75g w/ a 50g sump. There is 50 lbs of LR in the sump as well as an ASM G3 skimmer. It now has 4 southern Erectus seahorses in it. I will be adding 2 more at a later date. They are my breeders for all of my fry.
The drilled plastic container holds Juvi's. They have since been sold.
