For flow i have one tunze nano that does 660 and a kor1 that does 400. That gives me around 36X turnover without my HOB fuge or remoraC.

I might go out to the hardware store to get a timer to put the powerheads on to alternate the flow. Any good or bad exp from doing this?

the water flow looks stagnet because i have everything turned off to get a better picture, just wish i could do the same when I want to take a picture of my clowns. (not like a dog and make them sit)

IIRC, neither of those powerheads do well over time with switching on and off regularly.

slakker where they burning out to quickly because of the short bursts of on and off? I was going to maybe try something like 1-2 minute cycle. I have never tried that out and really don't know if that will create what I am looking for. Anyone on here try something like that that would care to chime in.

I believe so, the motors in those two pumps are designed to be run continuously as far as I know. They also tend to do a bit of clattering on startup every once in a while due, which I suppose isn't probably great for the motor.

Yeah, to keep that happy you are going to need more flow...random being the key.

lol, i was going to say haddoni because of the first 2 pics but the 3rd just cried gigantea. as usual i kept my mouth shut to avoid the question
