Can SPS Change Color Twice

About a month ago I purchased two very nice SPS corals, not sure exactly what type, but let's assume acros.

they were very nice white w/ purple and blue tips. Within a week the color went from white to brown, and now I'm slowly seeing the blue and purple tips come out again.

Is it possible for these to go from white to brown then come back to their white color (or maybe any other color, except brown)?

Sure, allot of corals brown out from stress then come back.

Yes, I agree.

Sure becuase it has happened to me. had some brown acroporas, took good care of them and they turned green, goofed up by screwing up my alkalinity supplements went back to brown.

Sure could happen.
But I think the better question here is why is that happening.

What are your parameters??? What is your flow? Lighting?

It's very common for sps to brown out from nothing more than the stress of moving. Of course it could be water params etc...but if the color is comming back I would guess stress. FWIW I have had several frags/corals turn brown and then turn green for long periods only to color back up(to a different color than green) much later.

Tank params:

ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, PO4 = 0
calcium 440-480ppm
alk 8-10dkh (currently 11)
magnesium - 1350-1400ppm
lotsssss of water flow (3 Tunze 6100's on multicontorllers) plus lots of flow from return pumps and closed loop system.
lighting - 3x250W phoenix 14K MH's + 330W VHO actinics (all new bulbs)

They slowly went brown within a week and no matter where I placed them it didn't help. They are surely not dead though. I can see their polyps fully extended (although strangely biggest polyp extension happens when lights are off). Their tips show growth and coloration, whereas the base is brown.
