Can this be real?

I have heard of clownfish having a symbiotic relationship with certain corals, especially torch corals, in the absence of an anemone. But could this actually be happening with my candy cane? I kid you not, my clown is acting like my candy cane is his anemone. He spends most of his time between 3 of the heads. He rubs himself all over them and cleans them up. He sleeps on them. Sometimes he looks like he's dying or dead, just laying on a side of them but then gets up and starts moving everywhere. Could he be actually trying to get the frag to host it? Never heard of a candy cane doing this? And this has been going on for a week now. Really weird.

Had a gold stripe maroon that wouldnt leave a bubble coral alone (ended up dying because it kept closing up) and our ocellaris that like a duncan and frogspawn until we got an RBTA.

Mine host in a pectinia even though I bought them a gold torch. Silly clowns.

Mine are currently residing in a bubble coral. Before this it was a Duncan, but they were way to rough on the coral so I had to get rid of it.

i have actually had them "host" my hydor koralia, and ive also had them let their bodies get sucked up against the grates of my overflow for....fun..... it seems... (guess thats y they are called clowns)

My clown tried hard to host my duncan when i first got them, but the duncan wasnt having it. Currently my clown hangs out and sleeps in a colony of zoas. I think they will host just about anything lil

When I had a colony of frilly mushrooms, my clowns hosted them. Now they host my duncan colony and he loves it.

My pair of ocellaris use my Dersa clam as a host. If I move it out of the corner, they rub and swim into it so much that it closes. In the corner it gets to open. They drive me crazy.

My pair of Percs have 8 feet of tank, and tons of prospective hosts, but have stayed in the same corner for two years now.

I was at my local fish store and was looking for something to host my two clowns. I was interested in this long tenticle looking coral but was told that the clowns would kill it if they chose to host it as they would get irritated and close. I ended up getting a local tentacle anemone (and a mushroom coral). Hoping it works out
