I like fish
Today I was on the CMF china marine forum, there was a LFS selling terminal phase male labouts fairy wrasse, and he was selling one for 260yuan, that is about 40$ ! Plus that was the normal price, and the sales price is probably even lower!

Can't say that I am surprised, when your government manipulates currency like the Chinese do it is near impossible to compete price wise. Hence why 25,000 factory's have shut down in this country since China became part of the world trade organization.

Presuming the fish are being purchased from the people catching the fish are being paid in USD, Chinese currency manipulation makes the actual purchase of the fish MORE expensive. My guess is that the (presumably) decreased amount of paperwork to import, and the lower rent/labor costs in the supply chain (importer/distributor/LFS ) all work in tandem to drop the price. Then again, for a country with a median household income that is approximately 1/7 of the US, that 40 buck fish will seem a whole lot more expensive to the average person.
