Can you chain link 2 phosban reactors?

I want to use 2 phsoban reactors. 1 for carbon. 1 for phospahtes.

I really don't want to use multiple powerheads. Can I link both together off a maxijet 1200?

If yes, which would be first? then which would be outlet to tank? Does rowaphos need same gph as carbon?

I used an mj1200 before I split off my return to run mine similiar. The only differance was I put a T in there so I could control the flow seperately between the two. You want to run through the carbon slowly and the phosban you want enough flow to tumble them in the reactor.

Doesn't the phosban require a slower flow rate than the carbon?

The 2 probably don't have the same "optimum" flow rate but faster or slower will work for either. Just don't have the flow so high that it causes either the carbon or GFO to break up.

I have 2 modified water filter cartridges in series with the carbon first and then the GFO. Any PO4 released by the carbon should be bound by the GFO. It's likely that all carbon will release at least trace amounts of PO4 so that just makes sure none gets back to the tank.

The best way to do it would be to split the flow from the Maxijet to feed each reactor separately. That way you can feed the carbon more flow. Otherwise, you will be limited by the flow the Phosban can handle, which is something like 30 to 50 gph.
