Can you ID this?

Some type of snail, 1/2" at most. He seems to have a pretty flat shell, anyone know? I've seen a couple. btw, sorry but these are the clearest pics I could get, my actinics were on at the time so it's a tad blue ;)

Yes, it's a Stomatella snail. They are common hitchhikers, even though they are hard as heck to find on the reef since they're such good hiders, and are good algae eaters.

They will also reproduce like crazy in your tank, which is a very good thing...these guys are great for the clean up crew.
 
:beer:Stomatella snail a good think I found 5 in my 90g FOWLR and the other nite went downstairs when lites were off about 3 hours and there were like 100 of them good addition to clean up crew
 
yeah seems like theyre a little more active at night. I notice them then or when the actinics turn on in the beginning of the photoperiod. hopefully they breed up :love2:
