Can you please assist with ids?

Please let me know if you recognize either of these.

1. I believe these came from the club through Grant a year or so ago. In that time their head size has increased and their skirts and stalks have lengthened. The main colony is in a pretty high flow area. The stalks on these frags appear to be compacting, as these frags are not in as high a flow zone now.


2. I may have purchased these from LA / DD, but they may have come through the club too. As fabulous as LA / DD is, a pet peeve of mine with their website is that one can't review previous orders to refresh one's memory with the sometimes ridiculous names of things. They're pretty sweet though, IMHO.

I believe #1 were given as Mind Blowing Palys. One down! Nice.

You guys are the Lords of the Polyps, so it may be I simply need to readjust my thinking. Please let me run through why I think #2 are not DAs or AoGs and please let me know if I'm offtrack somewhere.

I've had Devils Armor before. These I got from a club member in '09 (fit white guy, rode a motorcycle, had a motorcycle in his avatar, moved to Florida, Tim?). Notice the bat, which is distinctive to DAs as far as I know.

I have these now which did come through the club as Devils Armor. The shot is not great, but there is a bat on the left most polyp which can't be seen here.

While the skirts of 3 have more color than those of 4, I am content that 3 and 4 are sufficiently similar and conform to my understanding of Devils Armors. There are, imho, significant differences between those and 2. Specifically that the dark face of DA is solid until the ring of color before the skirts, while 2 has a predominately orange face sandwiching two separate halves of the dark ring, and way more skirt color than 4. In my opinion, 2 is not Devils Armor.

I have also had Armor of Gods before. These were sold to me as Armageddons, but after reviewing Coralpedia (coralpedia AoGs), I believe they are AoGs.

Please note the 1/24/06 entry by Mr. Ugly on that page with Armageddon on the left and AoG on the right. If anything, 2 resembles Armageddons more than AoGs. However, Armageddons have a solid ring of dark color, whereas the rings are separate halves in 2.

2 also do not resemble 5. 2 has solid face color where 5 has stripes of color radiating outward. Also no inner ring of color.

I am leaning towards 2 being from LA / DD, and I will need to search through my receipts (ug) or call DD and ask them what z+ps I've bought over the last year or so. If only one could review previous orders on their website...

What do you think about my reasoning as to why 2 is not DA or AoG? And does anyone have a more definitive repository of z+p images to consult besides coralpedia?

These could be another PG frag that was in less light or something. Faces are darker and less specked / splattered.

I've always had trouble with the difference btwn AOG and DA. There's also a lot of other morphs out there that look so similar to them.

I hear you about the similar morphs thing. If I had a clue differentiating I wouldn't be posting.

Home runs on 6 and 7! I got frags of each of those at recent club meetings. Nicely done.
