captive bred clarion angels?

Fish like clarions, conspics are normal collected fish
I think the focus must be put on not normal collected fish like peppermints, debelius, resplendens....

Yuri, they do it for business, how many debelius will u sell and how many clarions?

BTW, I heard they have Conspics coming shortly as well.

Unlikely... Bali Aquarich is working with Pomacanthus annularis, which is of course a beautiful fish, but not pricey. They are/were working with a handful of other species as well (search RB's for more info). These guys aren't attempting them in small aquariums like most, they're actually a food fish producer that has branched into the aquarium market, and breed fish in large vats/ponds.

Might have to set up a FOWLR :eek2:

wow ! now thats cool ! I thought this was more like Franck's operation for hawaii...

I think debelius will sale better it is more reef save than a clarion
Most people that want clarions have probably got them already

Yurivd,

The debelius would be much more reef safe that the Clarion but then again pygmy angels can raise hell in reef tanks also. I don't know, I want them all!!! :)

..and if Clarions came down in price they would be as widespread and popular as Passers and Queens...

These are exciting times that we live in. I'm hoping that since these CB large angels have never had the opportunity to taste corals, they'll be more inclined to be reef safe. I'm certainly willing to take the risk.

But man, a Debelius, let alone a CB Debelius is my all time dream fish. Oh yeah, a Peppermint Angel would be nice too :)

agree, truly unreal what has occurred this past year or so within the hobby/industry...tank bred Clarions, at least in my mind, was an unthinkable possibility up until the discussions regarding the identity of this fish began about 10 days ago...
the possibilities here are wonderful...

Wayne,

The wild ones are such notoriously aggressive fish. (Personal experience speaking here as well). Would you really consider adding them to your existing collection or would you set up a special display?

No, I'm looking to get the cb ones.

Wayne...will let you know, it does not sound like they are taking advanced orders as of yet...
ime they are more aggressive as young fish and mellow as they get older...my 2 are quite happy with each other...

OK, sounds good and please do. I'm hoping that they'll be juveniles, babies really. I'd be willing to take a risk on them if they were that young. I'd also need them to be a tad aggressive to hold their own at that age against all the other inhabitants in my tank.

The main thing is that they won't be coral nippers. I'm hoping that's a learned trait and not a genetic one!

PS. I love your avatar btw. I'd love a pair of baby Bandits myself!
