Carbon and HLLE

I've been reading studies that carbon causes HLLE. Has anyone actually experienced this in their systems? If so, with what carbon and how much was being used?

I don't run carbon because of this. It also causes hole in the head with Angels. Typically the lower quality (cheap) carbon has the excess dust that you can never seem to rinse out. Buy quality carbon and you won't have to worry about it. The bulk reef supply kind I have used before but only for a day or two so I can't speak to long term use
