Cardinalfish has mass on its gill

My femal bengai cardinal developed a white mass in its gill a few days ago. It's not eating. It almost looks like a mass of eggs. The male just released a batch of fry started 30 days ago and I just put him back in the dt. Is it possible the female released eggs and because the male was absent is trying to carry them herself and they lodged in the gill?

Is this possibly iridovirus? Should I put here in qt? Is there any treatment?

If he/she is still eating and swimming the same then dont worry about and just keep an eye on it.

She is swimming but not eating. It's starting to protrude little more from the gill.
