carpet anemone on bare bottom tank?

The anemone tank build I'm doing right now will be bare bottom. I'm going to populate it with mostly bubbletips, but I've been considering sectioning the tank a little bit and getting a carpet anemone as well. Questions...
Do you think a carpet anemone will still do well in a BB tank?
If yes, I would prefer the clowns I get to be hosted by the carpet and not the BT's; so, should I put the carpet in first or last?
If the carpet is put in first, is there a greater chance that my BT's will get stung by the carpet, when they start floundering around at initial tank entry?
Any help/advice in these categories would be much appreciated.

a trick to put a nem that needs a sand bed in a BB tank. is get a 4" or larger PVC pipe and put a cap on one side. them fill it with sand and then put the nems foot in the sand. i should put its foot thru the sand and attach on the cap inside.

Yup - I've been doing this for years with a LTA and haddoni. I would probably even do it if I had a deep sand bed b/c it is so easy to move the 'nem if you need to.

I use a 6-8" length of 3" diameter pvc.

Yes. I have a medium sized neon green haddoni in a starboard tank atm, it's attached between the starboard and glass. It seems happy. Hasn't moved or had any other issues. I would suggest what the others have said about using some pvc pipe filled with sand however.

IMHO it honestly doesn't matter much. Your clowns will take a shine to what they like regardless of when you add what. I have 2 false percs that loved BTAs on first releasing them. Then 3 months later they decided my H. Crispa was the way to go, but the male still sleeps alone in a BTA. All anemones were in before the fish.

Another false perc in a seperate tank has been housed with Crispa, Haddoni, and BTA with no luck, but will gladly swim through the hair algae on the glass if I let it get long enough. :/

Gotcha, the only reason I ask, is because in my old tank I had a beautiful BTA that bubbled nicely, and I swear my large and aggressive maroon clown female beat the bubbles out of it. Now I just prefer to have bubbles with my bubble tips and wouldn't mind taking steps to ensure no more bubble beating from my clowns (I doubt I will go with maroons anyways).

thre is no special way to make or ensure a bta stays bubbled. i have many bta's and some bubble, and some are ling and thin.
imo the ones i feed directly stay bubbles the longest. when i feed my clowns mysis i load some in a turkey baster and blow it into the nem. i feed like this once a week or more on some nems. ones like my flame bta i feed it directly 4x a week and the others maybe twice.
