Ok in the next couple weeks I am going to be getting my first carpet from a guy who has had it for the last few months without issues. My Questions are;
1. I'm going to QT the anem in a 29g I have with HOB marine land filter and small hydor powerhead. Do I need a good light while it's in QT? I have a RapidLED onyx fixture that isn't being used I could hookup for the QT.
2. I'm going to use cipro, so is 6-8 days the typical treatment time or longer, or just longer if the anem is deflated and mouth is open?
3. If I'm going to get clowns to try and host would it be better to get them and QT them with the anem?
Lastly I have ALOT of flow in my tank provided by a reeflo hammerhead on a CL with penductors providing 175x my DT per hr. With that said what's the best option for keeping the anem from getting blown all over the tank while it is searching for its spot? The CL can be turned down but not sure it will reduce the flow enough. My CL is fed by 2-2" bulk heads on either side of the back wall with strainers over them, they don't have a lot of suction to so them so I'm not worried about the anem becoming a soupy mess bc of the CL. Am I missing something? I haven't been a big anem keeper in the past but I love the carpets and was going to give one a try but want a receipt for success.
