carpet feeding question

I just bought a small, maybe 3" red carpet, how much should I feed him?

What kind of "red carpet"? Can you post a pic?
Is the anemone fully acclimated yet? If so, I would start feeding it small meaty seafoods like frozen HUFA enriched mysid shrimp or finely chopped fresh scallops. Never force feed any anemone. If it rejects food, try again later on.

I have had it for 1 week and it has eaten 2 times. I am not sure what kind, it was labeled a saddleback.

Stichodactyla haddoni is often referred to as a "Saddleback" anemone, but there's still a chance the ID is no good. Compare the different species of carpet anemones in the RC Anemone FAQ located at the top of this forum. (Anemone ID is critical because different species have different care requirements.) In the meantime, continue feeding the anemone.
What and how much did it eat?
