Did the amount of flow in your BB affect the nem? I have about 60x turnover rate (when reefcrest hits 100% and without the return)?

I"m not good with the diferentiation part, but there are some "carpet" anemones that like rocks, and some that need sand. Even though I use the term frequently, I actually dislike the use of "carpet" anemone because it attempts to lump many species together that actually have quite varrying physical characteristics and needs.

You are best to research the specific needs of the various species and determine if you are able to keep one in your tank.

Haddoni's - for example - need to have a sandbed, and you would be ill-advised to put one in a BB tank.

Been keeping S. Haddonis for 12+ years, and IMO/E you would not have a happy one with that much flow. Besides the fact that it would not settle in with out a sandbed. When "threatened" a Haddoni will completely retract into the sandbed.
