So I recently acquired a very nice and very large green haddoni carpet, it has been doing well and eats anything I feed it. The question I have is does it look healthy? The reason I ask is, it seems to be very expanded and not ruffled on the edges like I see many carpets look. I have noticed that my 2 BTA's are very expanded and do not bubble at all also. I am kinda wondering if I am giving them enough light? The tank is a 40 breeder and I am using a Maxspect razor 160w at 65% on channel a (white) and 100% on channel b (blue) and it is hung at 10" above the water. My water stays pretty perfect and I run an over sized skimmer and a reactor with gfo and carbon and another with biopellets, I have had a real issue with my dry rock leaching phosphates is the reason I run all of that. I will say that I have thin sand bed but the guy I got it from had very little sand also and said it always did well. It's foot is under the rock work and it is attached to the glass underneath.
