Carpet under t5

I have a 40g breeder with an ati powermodule over it, and just wondering if a hiddoni or gigantae could thrive in there. Any suggestions and opinions are welcome.

Thats what i was thinking, but its always good to get another opinion. I just need to use this awesome fixture but dont want to give up better sps growth under mh

I keep S.Gigantea under 8x80 watt t5's with no problem.

My bta's and LTA have both grown well under T5s.

Yes BTA and LTA should.But Carpets are much more light demanding therefor needing more t5's or MH.

Yeah my bta prop tank is under t5s, but a gigantea is much different. I had a h. mag under t5 but it moved too much looking for more light. With metal halide, the light isn't spread out as evenly, so they stay put for the most part.

Now I am going to track down a blue gigantea to go in there, but if he doesn't seem happy, he will be relocated.

Oh.I thought they still had some.Sorry about that.Ya might want to try Coral Reef Farm
out of FL.They can get some Blue Carpets for $100.00+$60.00 shipping+$160.00 for a Blue Carpet!When I checked on one from them I asked how big the anemone would be and they said roughly about 12".I dont remember if they can get the Gigantea or just Haddoni's but either way its still a great deal!But I belive that they are also out of stock.I was just giveing another good source!
