Theyll move to where they are comfortable. You can try to aim a powerhead in its direction to see if that will get it to move.

you dont. it will move where the light is best and it feels more comfortable. give it time, chances are it will eventually move forwards.

You never replied back as to what type of carpet this is. IF it is a Haddoni it will not like being up on the rocks as it is sand dwelling. IF it is a Gig then it will not like to be on the sand but prefer the rocks. IF it is a Haddoni it will need to be aclimated to the lights, using window screen as mentioned in your previous thread. IF it is a Gig then some say no to the window screen but I personaly would maybe only 1-2 layers instead of 3. If your blasting it with light and flow a Haddoni will not appreciate this and move as far away from it, like behind the rocks where flow is less. A picture would definatley help out here or at least some kind of info about what you recevied.

What do you have for lighting? Metal Halide or T5s?
Does the anemone have spots or dots on the underside? Would be a Haddoni if so. They like the sand... mine is wedged between the sand and a rock and has never moved in 6 months since introducing it to my aquarium.
Can you snap a pic and post for us to see? That might help.

Color doesn't help much, but does it look like either of these? (( Both are S. Haddoni ))

They are both S. Haddoni, so the care would be the same.
its the same as pic1 iv got a tunze wave machine at the right hand side of the aquarium on the opset side to the weir box the carpet is in the midle of the aquarium i stoped the wave box to setle the carpet in but when put the wave box back on it curled up im using t5s in a deltec microreef plus 4 39 wat all together its opening up again the clowns are hosting it ok but i want it at the front of the aquarium should i just leave it a lone to do its own thing

I think you meant to say it WOULDN'T be a haddoni if so. Or your gig is on the sand.

When you say it curled up when the wave maker was kicked on, was the nem still attached to the sand/rock? If so the curling is normal and it likely would have uncurled once it realized the flow wasn't a threat. You are best to let it be once it attaches its foot to something. Assuming its needs are being met, it will find a spot on its own. Not a good idea to force it into the spot you want it to be as it will do nothing but stress it. Also, watch the clowns, they can be ruff on a new nem.

This is how I acclimated mine. Once I had received the nem I began drip acclimating it. While that was going on I had to remove another nem that in the tank since the dealer sent the wrong one. After I got the old one out I dug a fairly good size hole in the sand all the way to the bottom pane and up against a rock as seen here.
Once I had it placed I turned off all the flow except for my return. I kept checking back on it and after about an hour it had attached to the rock and I gently pushed some of the sand around its foot. Turned the wavemaker back on and dialed it down to about thirty percent of normal. I didn't have any eggcrate so I used a pane of glass and attached three layers of window screen to it to acclimate it to my lighting. During the first week I upped the flow from the wavemaker from thirty to about 45% and removed one layer of screen on the sixth day. Week two I repeated the same as above going up to about 60% of "normal flow" for my tank and removed another layer. Week three got up to 80% and removed the last layer. After that the nem has only moved an inch to the right and moved his foot from the front of the rock/sand interface to the very far back of the rockwork in the sand and stretches out to his current location.
Has never done the inflate deflate thing and has been getting bigger and more color by the week. Hope this helps a little.

If you decide to just move it your self i would put three medium pieces of rock where you want nem to be and make a cove around the back and the sides of nem. I did this to mine when i first put it into the tank and it never moved. It wedged its foot in between one of the rocks and the sand and never moved.
