catching a four strip damsel in a trap

How do I get this bully out of my tank. My dad wanted to by him cause he was cheap. Would an aquamedic trap work

How large is he?
A bottle trap made of a soda bottle would probably work well.

He or she is full grown three inches

Very small fish hook .

You can get tiny, barbless fish hooks on Ebay. Use one of those. Bait it with a piece of shrimp, then quickly tug the damsel out when it bites. Don't carry it around by the hook, though, take the hook out as soon as possible and put the fish in water.
I hope you plan to return it to your LFS or put it in a refugium...
