CB Clarion angel

Wayne: do your clarions get along?

I don't have them in the same tank yet but I would surmise no, at least in a small tank. My dt failed before I was able to put both of them in. My cb is considerably larger and likes to let everyone know. I'll try to put them in together once my new dt is ready but I don't dare do it in a 40g qt.

My plan is to put my baby wild clarion in first and let it well establish itself into dt when it's ready and than my cb clarion last after everyone of my fish are settled.

Did every see the new cb clarion on DD?!? Man is it so beautiful! If I already didn't have two small ones...

So I have a theory that this new batch is from a different breeding pair. This is complete speculation on my part but this is why I think so. I've seen a few pics from the clutch that my cb clarion came from and mostly all the babies in the pics had the distinguish 'm' birthmark on the sides. Theses new babies coming to market don't have the 'm' mark, hence my theory.

The one on DD looks exactly like the ones that the LFS by me got in. I was told this batch that he got came from a lot of 140 CB clarions. Looks like they are selling fast, he sold 3/6 in the first couple days. Same price as DD.

I still prefer the 'M' marking on yours, or when the fish feels like showing off the 'W' mark

May not be as cool as the "M" mark, but pattern on the one below looks awesome also. It is one of the CB clarions from the stored mentioned in this thread.

same fish....

Here's the pics I was able to get of the fish listed on Diver's Den yesterday.
The right side markings are closer to the "M" of Wayne's fish.

I would love to see one where the markings join to make two conjoined circles with the bar in the centers.
Beautiful fish regardless of pattern.

To get photos of this fish, I tried staying back away from the tank and the fish was very reclusive and stayed amongst the rocks and corals.
It wasn't until I gave up and got close to the tank (very close) that it finally came out and was swimming in the open.
The pictures were taken while I was just a foot or so away from the glass.
So this fish should be very popular once settled in to someone's reef.

many had the "circle" effect when they were quite small...

Different allelles will give different patterns even from same parents
ie: your siblings dont look exactly like you. Then again they could be from different parents. Only Wen can tell us that and in those tubs I am not sure he even knows.
