Don't mind the personatus!

seems like his habit of keeping rarest of fishes in most mediocre system is still there....
i wonder what happened to other personatus....

The anthias are female Tasanoides, and they've been in that display a while also.

He has (has had) some other displays that are more 'user friendly'.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I don't understand why these angelfish are so hard to collect. I mean I see Mauritus fish shipments here in the states pretty frequently. Is it because there a are no collectors trained to collect at the depths the Debelius are located?

They are true a beautiful fish and are my ultimate dream fish too, next to the peppermint.

Nopes, the best collectors were and are in Mauritius for a while.

Am not sure if Mauritius shipment in USA are that common... it's still the rarest in imho.. Mauritius being the furthest exporting Country.
Most Mauritius shipment in USA consists of fish collected under 150 ft..

The "these angelfish" are normally collected at 270Ft minimum..
Am not sure many divers in the whole world are going that deep to collect fish.

Beside this, these fish are already extremely rare in the wild... and need a lot of patience for decompression which may take over a week sometimes :)
