I appreciate that Jettareefer. Yes, I'm running 4 mp40s all at about 75%Looks very nice! Are you running 4 mp40's?
Thanks, me too! One of my favorite fish I've owned. Picks off the rocks all day. As of now, he's the king of the tank.I love your white tail bristle tooth.
Beautiful setup you got there. I love your rock work! Do you have a thread?Nice tank! Kinda looks familiar lol. This is my 190g

Appreciate that boggles. I'll definitely get some close ups of corals as soon as they start looking better"¦.and as soon as I learn how to take a decent pic with my camera. I've had the copperband for a couple years now, he's a tough little fish that has gone through a lot. Really like him.Love your new display mate, that rock scape looks very cool especially loaded up with those nice acros - we need closeups down the track once everything settles.
How long have you had the copperband, i had one for a couple of years and want to have one in the peninsula - very beautiful fish imho.
Thank you for the complimentBeautiful tank ....

It's a slow build but there it is. Had a baby boy right before the build so it kinda slow me down a lot.
I'll take a look at that thread when I get a second, and congrats on the baby boy! I'm hoping the mp40s will be enough. It certainly is for now. I actually had to dial them back a little.Thank you, and love your Rock work also! I just stayed lower with my rock so I give my corals room to grow up. I almost feel 4 mp40s isn't enough flow and will be less as my corals grow out. What do you think about the mo40s and flow wise?
Thank you, I will definitely keep this thread updated.Hahaha..., nice tank. Updates and more photos are always appreciated.
Thank you!love the scape and coral placement, beautiful tank indeed!!!
Thank you!
I'm a little frustrated at the moment. I used a lot of putty and glue to secure some rocks and my corals. It's been a few weeks now and my skimmer is still overflowing. I have not been able to skim at all since the tank has been set up. I've done multiple water changes in hopes that it will help. I don't remember it taking this long for the skimmer to calm down on my last tank.
1. Get at least 4-5 gallons of saltwater ready.
2. Start skimmer, but set at level that allows the bubbles to fall into the cup at a steady rate. Not crazy fast.
3. Once the skimmer cup is almost full, remove and discard water.
4. Repeat 2-3 (adjusting when required...nearing the end you might need adjust to get more bubbles to overflow into the skimmer cup).
5. Once it is slowed down, you know things are better and so you can carry on until 4-5 gallons of water is removed via THIS method (NOT a direct water change).
What you are doing is essentially removing the substance causing the excessive bubbles.
Its a tiresome/boring event, but has worked for me many times in the past.
Let me know if it works.
This worked like a charm sahin, thank you!
Here's a quick little vid of one of my favorite fish in QT. I've had him for about two weeks now and I'm hoping to have him in my display in the next 2-3 weeks. He's been eating like a champ since he was placed in this tank, and hasn't slowed down during cupramine treatment.

thank you, much appreciatedNice looking tank and I will do the same thing next time my skimmer goes crazy after epoxy.
When it comes to angels, I personally don't think that some of them are as risky as we've always been told. In my past three tanks, I've kept venustus, multibars, a flame, regals, majestic, goldflake, and griffis. The only nippers were the flame and the griffis and neither caused any damage. I have not yet witnessed any of my other angels nip a coral. Sadly, I rehomed many of these fish when I broke down another one of my tanks about 6 months ago. These tanks have been 100% sps though, minus 1 torch coral.Thats good to know; glad it solved the problem.
I'm seeing more and more people puttings angels into reef tanks. Man I want one for my reef tank so badly.
