cFloor's 190g

Nice goldflake. Be prepared though for a decrease in polyp extension on some acros. I have a semi adult blueface angel (about 3.5 inches) and he has nipped and physically damage the tips of certain acros. Hasn't touched the zoas but Im not holding my breath.

Edit: seems you are experienced with angels and would know what to look out for.

WOW super nice tank, love the scape and coral placement.
thanks, I had a couple months to really think about where I wanted everything. The aquascape was actually done fairly quickly, using putty and acrylic rods. Of course, there's about 4 corals in my frag tank that I'd love to add, but there's not many spots left.
That pink piece is insane
Both the corals in the pic were $10 frags from my LFS. I'm not sure what either are, but the pink one looks like it could be a red dragon or some variant of that. The stag in the background, when happy, gets some really nice glowing tips and coralites. Its still not looking too hot at the moment.

Damn mate, that's one hell of an awesome pic :)
Thanks biggles, Just shooting with my phone and one out of every 15 or so turns out o.k. :lolspin:
I'm jealous mate that piece is awesome!!!
I wish we were closer so we could swap some corals, you got sooo many that I'd love to have! Thanks though, the pink one is just starting to color up in the past two weeks from being a light brown color

Yea, goldflakes are among my favorite affordable angels. I kept one in my last tank and it was a model citizen. I know I'm taking a risk, but I'm really hoping this guy works out too. I might place him in my frag tank for a few weeks to gauge his behavior, but I know that they can develop a taste for polyps at any time. I actually don't mind a little nipping, but any more than that isn't o.k.

After moving a couple corals around and adding a few more frags from the frag tank"¦

Some of the corals are really starting to turn around while others are acting stubborn. I'm getting excited to add the rest of my fish, which will hopefully be about 7 days from now. I have a second regal angel that I will try to add by using an acclimation box. I will also be adding a powder blue tang, 2 bimac anthias, and 6 dispar anthias.

Let's pay a visit and rob him :lmao:

Ok mate let me know when you book the tickets :hmm5: :lolspin:

Mate the tank is lookin sweet! Just be patient and they will turn around, like you said some can be more stubborn than others :D

I can see this tank being awesome in a short period of time ;)

I appreciate the words of encouragement Scotty, I sure hope you're right. It was tough seeing all my corals take such a hit.
Wow, tank looks great man.
thank you! :spin3:
Looks great i like the stags and your fish selections. .
thanks cugly, I tried placing all the stags up top and towards the back, while the bushy and tabling corals are up front. I hope it works out. And thanks about the fish selection. I told myself no impulse buys with this tank"¦.which I've almost achieved, lol

Thanks so much. I really hope the second regal works out too. He/She is actually going into the acclimation box tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm really excited about adding the rest of my fish.

Subbed.
That's fantastic!
Thank you for the compliment and thanks for checking it out.
Love your regal, looks male, gonna be even better with a another in there.
Thanks I, for some reason assume it's a male as well, but from those I've talked to and the reading I've done I'm not sure if we can positively sex these fish. My worry is that I might have two males so I'm trying to curb the excitement of having two of these beautiful fish in one tank. I will keep the thread updated as to how the introduction goes.

Out of the corals that lost all of their color, this was the first one to start looking better. It went from a light brown to this in a couple weeks. Hopeful it continues coloring up.

And this coral is the toughest piece I've owned. It holds it's color and PE no matter what I put it through.

Awesome stuff. Glad to see you're relatively local to myself. Looking forward to seeing the tank mature and sub'd for sure!
