Hi Everyone,

Took a road trip yesterday and got to meet James of Envisions and pick up my custom 300gal (74x36x26) tank. First off I have to say James is a absolutely great guy! Absolute pleasure to meet him in person. Build quality is incredible, I could'nt believe it ...at one point during James explaining to me how strong my tank was....he stood on the euro bracing. I'm guessin he's running somewhere around 170-180lbs....on the cross braceing....Her's me  . I could'nt believe it

Here is a couple pics James sent me during his build. BTW, He kept me up to speed the whole time w/ pics probably 4 EM's w/ pics of the build over the 1.5 weeks it took him to build it or so.

Thanks James

Looks awesome, Chad! I'm tagging along this build. It will be top notch

I'd freak out, too, if someone stood on top of my tank! Even if it's the builder, himself! :eek2:

Thats an awesome size tank. You also gotta love someone being so sure of their work, that has to be reassuring you went with the right builder. I cant wait to see this thing start rolling. have you started to make up a list of equipment you'll need?

Sorry to post a new thread and take off everyone. I was cutting acrylic for my new sump. James helped by cutting things down a little bit so I could haul it and I am cutting to dimension. I am hoping to get the sump done this week but I don't know??? I already forgot one cut and I need to go back to my parents house tomorrow to make that cut and cut some teeth in a overflow section.

T-bone- great to have you along...look forword to having your input w/ the Tunze stuff as well your sponsorship may be handy :D

Hi E!! How have you been doing? Hope work is going well for you I know you were looking forward to being very busy this summer. Looking forward to your input :D .Aquarium Obsessed tank dimensions were 72x30x24T .

Thank you tanya- looking forward to any recommendations

Thanks i2ik and concrete reefer- I'm very excited to get this thing off the ground.

As far as the rest of the equiptment goes. I have custom built a 2x2x3/16 wall thickness stand. Should be nice...I think I could of lightened it up a bit if I would widdled it out of a solid block of steel in hind sight  :D The stand was steel shot blasted and painted on Thursday but the paint did not dry overnight so hopefully it will be cured tomorrow and we can put another coat of paint on and I can bring it home Tue.

Skimmer- H&S 250 2x1260 Thank You Brian and Eric @ Fins Reef

Ext. Tunze wave box - still need to purchase a ext. box.

lighting- Sfiligoi XR4 3x400w running Ushio 14k's , 8-39w T-5's w/ 6 URI actinics and 2-KZ fiji purples and 8 moonlights if I can ever figure out how to hook them back up :(

flow- 3 or 4 Tunze 6101's on a Tunze Multi controller

return pump-2-Eheim 1260's or 1262's

calcium- Deltec PF601 w/ Deltec Rowalith C+ media

and to control the whole system I will be running a Elos Biotope II w/ 2 power bars,2 ph probes (1 tank, 1 controlling CaRx),temp probe, conductivity, sms, bluetooth wireless.

Top off will be done by Tunze Osmolator.

That should about do it unless I have forgot something.

Chad

Thanks Ed

Ya Terry, I am thinking sps w/ fish. maybe some lps here and there but not sure. I like angels of course I also like smaller fish as well. I'll transfer my flagfin angel, pair of black percs, springer eye pseudochromis, 9 orange stripe cardinals.

Would like to add a school of ventralis, I like the high fin perchlet.

I think the tank will be big enough to add a swissguard basslet. Never tested the pseudochromis??

I like the tail spot blennys, stripped blennies and the sail fins have alot of character. I will need to choose on this

maybe copper band butterfly??

Would like to add some wrasses but every one I have had up to this point has jumped (pair hawaiin flame, mystery). I like those fish as well as the red velvet.

As for sps--frags from fellow reefers

:D

Chad

Wow, I really like your stocking plans! Very different. Will be awesome. I'm also thinking about the ventralis right now. They are very beautiful. And also wanting a tailspot blenny - they're so cute!

Flow - since you'll be doing mainly SPS, what about 6201 x4? :)

We'll see what comes together w/ the fish. I am also hoping to get a interuptis angel.
I also like the red sea regals

we'll see

Oooo now,now I am just getting together the 6101's :D . But then on the other hand why break tradition  .

Chad

interuptis angel? You're talking too much with Steve! He keeps asking me if I want to buy all these expensive fish! :)

Terry, not only fish that he is talking to me about. You should be able to tell when you are looking at his tank picture :D. Chad, with this tank, you don't have to worry about the panel giving up on ya. Good luck with the build and call me if you may need any help. Hmmm, i hope the pump fit inside that ext waveboxes... Look kinda small IMO :D

Ha..ha...James jumped on top of my tank when I picked it up also! It has actually turned out to be quite helpful because I crawl around on top of it all the time now.

untamed12- I was pretty shocked when he jumped up on top of it

I stopped cleaning the glass on my current tank a month ago for fear it may fall apart :D .

tbone- I love the interuptis and if I could get a healthy young one I would probably go for it....once

Steve- the box is fine :p

One other person I would like to thank for exceptional service is Jesse/Elos USA- He has been a great help in helping me get my used BII up and running. Great customer service and stands behind his products 110%...Thanks Jesse If you see this I am really sorry I forgot about you the first time around
