Chalice frags- where to put them?

I'm buying frags from these two chalices - bubble gum monster and pink boobies.

I know they should go low, but where? Not much room on my sand bed. I have some spots low on my rock structure where I could put them. Do I go there or find room on the sand.

Another option would be to break up a piece of live rock and mount them on a small piece and find a place in the sandbed.

Help! Never kept a chalice before.

I have chalices growing on the bottom of my 30" tall tank and at the top. Pretty adaptable frankly, though acclimate if going high.

Mine always do best down low, lower flow, sometimes partial shade and/or near the glass.
I have a Hell's Eye Mycedium Chalice that hangs out leaning up against the back glass behind my rock that does awesome.

Give it lots of room to grow in all directions. I have a palm sized Hollywood Stunner that has grown nearly an inch in all directions in only 3 months.

Good luck

Agree with everything that's been said, especially giving them lots of room to grow in each direction. They have some pretty gnarly sweeper tentacles at night.

If you have a bare bottom, be sure to move it slightly every few days so it doesn't fuse w the tank. Just a inch or so movement works

I would start them on the sandbed and move them accordingly. Some can stand moderate to high light and some only do better in low light. I have had success with them on the bottom 3rd of the tank or shaded by something else with moderate flow.
