Chalice with no eyes

A buddy of mine gave me a really nice size piece of miami hurricane, but it has no eyes on it. Will it make it without an eye? I am wondering because it probably doesn't have any sweeper tentacles to grab food.

Will it grow an eye?

Well my chalice has reached a shade spot and is growing upward in that location. Was going to frag a bit off of that side because growth has come to a hault.

I will post pictures tomorrow for everyone.

The area that I am concerned about is the top left section where it has been growing extremely slow due to it being a shaded area. Can I make a frag or two out of this despite there being no eyes there?

personally I wouldn't frag it without less than 2 eyes in the frag. It stands a much better chance of survival with more than one eye. Be sure to dip it too in Lugols after you cut it to prevent infection.

Yes, Chalice's like low light. I run my all chalice tank with very very low light, things grow slowly but the coloration is amazing.
