Chances of survival for a XXL Ritteri at LFS

Ok, so I just called him back and he's holding it for me and knocked the price down to $80. I'm prepping my QT tank and planning to use your method (OrionN) for treating with CIPRO.

I am planning to fill my QT tank with water from my reef system shortly and going to put a HOB filter with some filter floss for some flow and simple filtration. I have some options for lighting which include Par 38 LEDs of varying spectrums or a Reefbreeders value fixture. I have a T5 fixture that I could make work however it's a 48" and the QT tank will be smaller. I have plenty of CIPRO ready as well.

ok, I acclimated for about 3 hours on a drop to get him from the LFS salinity of 1.021 to mine at 1.026. He's in the QT and has deflated and mouth open. So far it's doing about what I've expected and appears to be expelling some waste particles. I've attached a few pics (sorry for the blurry one, my focus isn't working on my phone) of it in the first 10-15 minutes in the QT. I also set up a live video feed and am recording it non-stop so I can go back through and watch how many times it is deflating and inflating throughout a day. I'm going to watch it for the next 24 hours and decide if I should start the Cipro. Maybe you guys can help me with that as well.

I'm going to go ahead and start Cipro now. Was hoping it would have closed up some overnight and didn't really want to start meds right away. I can keep lights out and keep it on a reverse light schedule.
 
Ok, Cipro in the tank as of 7am. I adjusted the light timer to come on in 8 hours at 5pm and run until 5am. I'll gradually adjust the lighting to get it on a normal light schedule. It is inflating and deflating a lot with the Cipro (250mg, 10 gallons) in the tank but is very responsive to touch and curled about on my finger almost instantly.

Hard to tell now but probably about 12" or so when fully inflated. The QT I'm using is only a 10 gallon but I figured that'd be easier for dosing meds and easier to manage with me pulling water from my reef and adding new daily. The next size up tank I had on hand is a 30 which is a bit overkill.
 
WOW It's HUGE! Just make sure you complete the whole round of Cipro and don't cut it short.

I think you made a Huge score!!!!
