I've had a nice elegance for a while now, it's grown and seems to do well. today I noticed it in a totally different state that I've not seen before.

This is what it usually looks like

This is tonight

Is this normal?

I would keep an eye on it but it may be expelling waste and expelling the water inside of it and refilling.

What are your current parameters?

Thanks for the suggestion, but Why a water change?
As far as I can tell there is no issue with the water and no other coral in the tank is doing anything out of the ordinary. Also, There are no fish in the tank as yet, it's a new tank setup with established rock from a tank that broke. It's been running for a few weeks at most, i don't think there is a water quality issue.
all basic levels, Amm/nitrite/nitrate were at zero before the corals were transferred from a holding tank to the new tank and have remained there since the corals were moved.
Anyway with Irene almost Here I can't get started mixing water. I'm do for a change next week, but i still don't think thats the source of the elegance changing shape...
Today it was more open, the tentacles were longer than yesterday's pic but skinnier than usual...
