Chappy's 300 gallon peninsula

Thanks guys. I took a bunch of pics today. I'll try to figure out Lightroom and see if I can make them presentable.

I had two tank raised black occelaris clowns for three months and they didn't even think about going near my rbta. So I got 6 clarkii's and within 15 seconds they were in. It's neat to see the pecking order. The female is becoming very clear.

Ocellaris are supposed to prefer carpet anemones. If you can toss them into an anemone they quickly get the idea, but if you wait for them to find it on their own you might be waiting forever.

Well we will see how everything works on auto pilot. I am going away for a week. I have an automatic feeder that will do flakes and pellets. I'm also having a college student coming over every other day to feed nori and check things. Fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed for you.

I am also leaving the tank on auto-pilot for the first time this week. I had a nightmare that the dog-sitter called to say the tank had burst and there was two inches of water in the house.

I finally got a new camera. Here are a few shots from today. I got the Cannon Rebel T5i.

I'll see if I can post them now.

Chappy, beautiful build, and I love the interior of the house. Did you set the tank on top of the travertine tiles? Any issues with leveling if you did?

I did have to level it with shims, but no issues at all. It was more from the stand than the tiles. I love that travertine...plus I bartered it, so it was an even better deal.

Nice work. Gonna be amazing when the corals fill out a bit. Shouldn't be long with the lighting you have. The Naso is one of my favorite fish too. So much personality.

Thanks guys. I really want to fast forward a year from now and see what everything looks like. I guess I'll have to be patient. Sigh...

Chappy, very nice Build! You took your time and it paid with dividends. I couldn't do what you did I need the instant gratification. If you ever have an open house please let me know, I will come in a heartbeat.

Thanks Mike. It seems like in this hobby only bad things happen instantly. ;)

I'll be updating some pictures soon.

Chappy, what settings did you end up with for your Vega's? I have the Hydra's and if I bump up my whites past 35% the LPS don't like it do you run into the same problem with your Vega's?
